Troop 330 is a Family Troop for boys and girls aged 11-18. We are chartered by the American Legion Post 580 in Chanhassen. We meet most Tuesdays during the school year at Chanhassen Elementary.
Registered scouts please refer to TeamSnap for details on meetings, outings, service projects and events.
In September, our weekly Troop meetings start back up after a short summer break. We will have the Fall Court of Honor and the family picnic. We will have a tent campout. We will hold Troop elections.
In October, we continue to meet weekly. We Adopt-A-Road in Chanhassen and go on another tent campout. Sometimes we take a longer trip over the Education Minnesota (MEA) weekend. Ask the older scouts about sleeping in a submarine!
In November we move our weekend campout indoors to a cabin while still meeting weekly.
December is always super busy with school and family events, so we don’t usually have a weekend overnight. We do often have a swim party and a movie night.
January campouts have varied from sleeping outside in the snow, in a cave or a cabin. We have our Winter Court of Honor. We also usually go bowling. Winter brings the opportunity for sledding, snow sports and ice fishing. The PLC may schedule any or all of these in the next few months.
You’ll find us out on the ice of Lake Ann at Chanhassen’s February Festival selling bait and s’more kits for the annual ice fishing contest. This month we are back in a cabin for the weekend campout.
In March, we assist the American Legion at their Friday Fish Fry by clearing tables. We’re cabin camping and welcoming in the new scouts crossing over from Cub Scouts. We will also hold Order of the Arrow and Troop elections.
In April, weather permitting, we move back outdoors for the weekend campout. We’ll clean up our Adopt-A-Road in Chanhassen.
In May, we have our Spring Court of Honor. We assist with the American Legion and City of Chanhassen Memorial Day events. Plan on attending the swim event to pass your test for water fun at camp. Our May campout is outside and sometimes includes whitewater rafting. This is usually the start of the summer […]
